Extra Power Potions are used to permanently increase character stats. Each potion can only have its effect once and function as a Bomb Potion if shot. Though later versions of Gauntlet, such as Legends and Dark Legacy, also allow stat increases, these are done by purchasing direct boosts rather than collecting items.
There are six kinds:
- Armor: Increases defense.
- Fight Power: Adds to hand-to-hand combat damage.
- Magic Power: Bomb Potions deal more damage, comparable to the Wizard's innate power.
- Shot Power: Projectile shots deal more damage.
- Shot Speed: Increases the shot speed dramatically.
- Speed: Makes characters nearly as fast as the Elf.
